Happy hopping day...

What an amazing weekend. We had our family over on Saturday for a wonderful E.ast.er meal and then the 7pm mass. It was a super long day....but really worth it. The kids got to play with their cousins during the day and then sit and be calm for a 2 1/2 hour long mass :)
We had lots of food, an egg hunt, dessert and lots of laughs.
Before the chaos arrived with everyone, we got a few pictures.
Pumpkin made this cute sign to welcome everyone to the house. No one could believe how grown up she looked in her dress. It is days like this where I can not believe how big they are both getting!
Can you tell the 4 of them are a little bit excited to go hunt for eggs? I did make the mistake of having Hubby and our good friend "hide" the eggs. There were piles of them in the front yard. There were some creatively placed, but it was a huge free-for-all hunt! They could not complain about not getting their share, that is for sure!
And they are off! :)

Some of the more creatively placed ones...Critter got a big kick out of the ones in the tires!
Since we had such a busy day yesterday, we are having a lovely low-key day today! It is one of the best weekend days we have had in a long time. Nothing better than getting donuts, playing games, playing outside and then not cooking dinner! :)
For some reason the big white-fluffy guy brought the kids these really little toys that all the kids love. I think the bunny had a moment of not thinking when filling their baskets this year! :) the kids are LOVING them...I just wonder how many of them I will vacuum up!

What a blessed weekend we are having!

Fun with Dye...

I seem to forget each year how much I "love" coloring eggs. I grew up with my mom emptying out eggs before coloring them. I know...it is crazy. I did not realize how crazy until I started doing it as a mother. Each year....I do it for my kids. I start out with 18 eggs a piece and they end up with about a dozen. I end up breaking quite a few of the eggs. Next year I think we will do some hard-boiled though...
The fun part of it is my table centerpiece each year has all the eggs from previous years. It is fun to see how they do eggs from year to year.

He took it very seriously this year. He knew how he wanted to color them and what he wanted to do...

It is a fun project...but one I am glad only happens once a year! :)
