This week I chose a very special necklace. This is my mother necklace, it was given to me by my mom on my first mother's day after Pumpkin was born. I gave her a similar one for Christmas years earlier. Each time I look at it I remember first becoming a mom. It changed me so deeply, only the way a child can. I will forever be thankful for that necklace from my mom and the opportunity in this life to raise two beautiful children.

I remember my first "mom" necklace and how I felt wearing it. Things haven't changed...still no greater joy than being a mom and experiencing firsthand all those priceless moments.
Having your mom give it to you makes it even more of a treasure. What are we to do with all this sentimentality?
